All,  Just for your information, below is a Email I sent to 
John this morning about the rain here for Dec. and for the
year since April.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hope you and yours have
a good one!

John,  The total Rain for Dec. here in Straughn is 7 6/10 inch. 
The total I have measured here since April here is 43.8 inches             
I started keeping the amount of rain per month then.  
I don't know if this will do you any good, but 
I am including that measurement.
