Good morning, everyone. I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far. I mentioned this the other night at the South Alabama Radio Club meeting, but I thought it was worth mentioning again on both lists since not everyone was there for the meeting.
This year marks a lot of important political races, ranging from President of the United States down to the members of our local county and city governments. While everyone is entitled to their opinion, let's try to keep anything pertaining to political races/issues between ourselves directly and not on these lists. These lists were created with Amateur Radio in mind, so posts should be limited to the topics of our clubs and the Amateur Radio community. I'm not against the occasional joke (made in good taste!) or any other interesting story being posted; but for the most part, we need to be mindful of what we post on these lists.
I'm not scolding anyone, and I don't mean for this to come across as such. But I'd hate to see feelings hurt that would be the result of someone posting something on one or both of these mailing lists. We don't need any "shouting matches" going on with these lists. I would also hate to turn this into a moderated list, where each post is approved or rejected by a moderator. Just think of using these lists the same way you would your radio: use them with good engineering and good
amateur practice.
Thanks for your time, and I hope you all keep this in mind.
