Subject: Alabama QSO Party - This Saturday
Hey Everyone,

I would like to extend an invitation to you to participate in the
Alabama QSO Party coming up this Saturday, Jun 7th.

This event is sponsored by the Alabama Contest Group.

We will be awarding certificates and plaques for the top scores in many
categories.

It looks like we may have all 67 counties active during this year
event--we missed by three counties last year! Have been working hard
to get the word out in Alabama and it looks like participation is going
to be very good. There are going to be eight or more Alabama club
stations participating. Looks like at least six or more mobiles this
year.

Here are some abbreviated rules:

2008 Alabama QSO Party, operate CW, Phone or mixed modes. Contest
period from 1600Z, Jun 7 to - 0400Z Jun 8, 2006. All station may
operate the full contest period. Frequencies:
10m - 160m, modes are SSB and CW, contacts count separately (once per
band and mode)
Multipliers count once per mode. Categories: Single Op,
Multi-Single,Multi-Multi, Mobile (with or without driver), and QRP
(<5W), LP (<150W) and HP. Exchange: RST and County or state or Canadian
providence or DX. Work mobiles stations in each Alabama County. CW
QSOs count two points. SSB points count one point. Multipliers for
Alabama stations are Alabama counties, US states and Canadian
provinces. Multipliers for stations outside
Alabama are the 67 Alabama counties. Logs submissions due 30 days after
contest. Submit logs to logs at alabamaqsoparty.org

For the complete rules and information please go to
http://www.AlabamaQSOParty.org .

Hope to hear you during the AQP.

Please let me know if your are planning to participate and your county.
