Normally, I do not send out politically-based e-mails, but I figured this was a good cause, therefore I'm going on with it. Also, the tone of this e-mail is very neutral (I hope!). Please pass this along to as many pple as possible.

Ok, everyone has been watching or reading on TV, newspapers, the Internet, etc., all of the commotion regarding this year's elections. This covers everything from U.S. President all the way down to County Commissioners and City Councilmembers. I'm not going to tell you to vote Rep, Dem, Independent, or whatever (such as a write-in like John Wayne). However, I am going to ask each and every one of you to do your part on Election Day. It's just as simple as this: GO VOTE!!!!!!!!! This is one of the few "true" freedoms we still have, and we should NEVER take it for granted.

And always keep in mind who you're voting for; remember, they're going to be making decisions for all of you! And please, for goodness sakes; DON'T VOTE FOR SOMEONE BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE IS or because it's HIP or COOL or whatever. Look at ALL of the candidates. EDUCATE yourself about them. Make your OWN decisions. Vote for who YOU think is the best for the job.

In order to participate in this freedom, you need to make sure you are registered to vote. Friday (10-24-2008) is the LAST DAY to register/update your voter information in time for the Nov. 4 Elections!!! I'm unfamiliar with other states and how they handle their registration; but in Alabama, voter registration/update forms are freely available at just about all city halls, court houses, libraries, and many other places. By all means, PLEASE make an effort to go register. As long as your forms are postmarked (US Postal Service) by Oct. 25, they will be accepted.

PLEASE DO THIS!!! Our future as a nation depends on your vote.
