FYI - Here are a couple of threads from the Ala. Contest Group reflector
Ref: N1MM Logger.. 73

============================================================
The new revision of N1MM Logger is now available for public release.
This version (9.7.2) should FULLY support the Alabama QSO party, correctly
counting multipliers and scoring properly. Please download and test this
version
for any possible bugs.
There are several new QSO party features.....check the release notes.

================================================================
He is what I noticed about the new version of N1MM.
1. It won't rescore an old contest log correctly. When opening an old log
and doing a "rescore contest", it counts Alabama counties as multipliers
and ignores VE provinces. However if you start with a new log and enter a
contact with an Alabama county it doesn't count it as a multiplier. So it
appears that it will figure the multipliers correctly when scoring a new
contest, but you can't use it to rescore an old contest.
2. When logging an Alabama station in a new county, after previously
working him in another county, if you enter the call sign as something like
K4SAV then the contact is counted as a dupe and zero QSO points are
given. Sometimes the new county is checked off in the county window (even
though the program counts it as a dupe) and sometimes it isn't checked
off. Not that it really matters, since counties aren't multipliers, but
the county sheet won't be correct. HOWEVER if you enter the call sign as
K4SAV/M (or /anything) then it will give QSO credit, even if the
"/anything" is the same for both contacts. Looks like the program is
looking for the slash character to determine if it's going to be a dupe or not.
3. The program automatically converts NB, NS, PEI, NF, and LAB to MAR. It
also converts NWT, and NU to NT. It doesn't recognize YUK but entered as
YK it does change it to NT.
Big improvement, and if we can get all mobiles to send /M, or roving
portables to send /P, or at least put a slant something in the call, then
the scoring should be correct as far as I can tell. Otherwise we will have
to manually check the dupes on Alabama stations.
=================================================================================
Thanks for the info.
1) No, it will not "rescore" old contests.
2) For mobile/rover stations, simply enter a "/M" after the callsign in the
entry field.
If the station has been worked before, the exchange field will
self-populate with
the other county worked. Simply clear that field, and type in the new
county. It will
then count for QSO credit, and the county sheet will be correct.
3) If you work a Yukon station in the AQP, (congratulations!) he should
send you an
exchange of NT (per the rules). If he sends YUK, just log YK, or NT!
There's no need to get all rovers to sign "/" anything. Just LOG them "/M"
and type
the correct county in the exchange field.
Also, if everyone could try it out as an OUT-OF-STATE entry, it would be
appreciated!
Thanks!
