There is a wonderful APP available FREE for the iPhone and iTouch named
"Electrical  Toolkit" . Some details at:

the features is "Resistor Color Code. It has a resistor at the top, and 4
vertical slot-machine-like bands that you can alter to match the color bands
on your resistor. As you move each band up or down, setting the colors to
match your resistor, a value and tolerance percentage display changes as
well. There are other things the program does, but this is pretty cool-and
certainly the price is right!!!
